I’m sitting here on a pile of ideas. Some iv started to type out into various word documents. Most of them are floating around in my head. Played out within my imagination. Sang at random while I work and go about my day.

My issue seems to be pulling them out of my head and putting them on screen. I’ve said it many times, it would be so much easier if I could plug a USB cable into my temple and communicate with the computer directly. But I can’t, can I?

I think I have a solution to my ‘writer’s block’ problem.

Ever heard of The Monkees? Did you know they had a movie, “Head”? One of the cool things about that movie wasn’t the psychedelic trip themed rotation through drama, comedy, action and so on. I think it’s how the movie came to be.

The Monkees, Bob Rafelson, Schnieder, and Jack Nicholson. (Yes, ‘Heeeere’s Johnny!’ Jack Nicholson.) Locked themselves in a hotel room an entire weekend. They did nothing but bounce ideas around and record the conversations. What came of the entire thing was a movies known as “Head”.

I’m taking a page from the band’s history. From April 15 to April 19, I will be locking myself away. No online communications, phone calls, and no World of Warcraft! (Gasp) Nothing outside of business needs will be engaged.

My overall goal is to be filming about mid May. To do that, I need scripts! I’m trying not to think too far ahead. Step one: get it all out of my head!

No more delays.

No more excuses.

This will be done.
