Dodge, you disappoint me, but probably not Barbie.

Not that I’m a big follower of the current car market. I’m a fan of the Mustang. I enjoy going to vintage car shows.  To me, the majority of cars that are available right now all look the same.

So what do you do to compete with other brands this year? (And make a come back from slumping sales and financial cutbacks that ultimately ended in bankruptcy?)  You one up them and introduce  “Furious Fuchsia” BRILLIANT. Every man in America will see this car, turn to their wives and say “That’s just down right wrong” — WAIT.. I don’t think that’s what Dodge want’s to hear.

About 85% of Challenger buyers are male, according to Chrysler.

Photographs don’t really do justice to Furious Fuchsia, Chrysler spokesman Dan Ried insisted, while acknowledging that fuchsia might seem an odd color choice for a male-oriented car.

“I saw it in person and it actually looks pretty cool,” he said. “It’s tough to capture how it looks in the daylight.”

Odd color for a male oriented car? You think? “It actually looks pretty cool” — psss hey guess who’s paid to say that? Spokesman Dan Ried! Don’t worry Dodge,  Barbie will buy your car! :D

All jabs aside.

Furious Fuchsia is an all-new shade. Chrysler describes it as an updated version of Panther Pink and Moulin Rouge, colors available in 1970 and which enjoy a fan following today, including Web sites dedicated to the colors.

Web sites dedicated to the colors? Really? *Googles* Well, what do you know…

LG Serie 1 – Retro Classic TV

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010 | Geek, Painted Purple | 1 Comment

I love when retro is in, as I love retro. I prefer the real deal. I would rather buy a coffee table or piece of home decor that was made in lets say, the 50’s rather then buy a reproduction.  However now and then something retro comes out that makes me drool. This is one of those things. To bad its only available in Korea and costs 249,000 KRW (around $216 USD). It would probably cost even more to ship it over here.

The TV features a 14-inch screen, rabbit-ear antennae, chrome legs, an old fashioned knobs to change the channel and adjust the volume. No worries, if charm of flipping through channels the old way wears of, it comes with a wireless remote.

Now here is the coolest part. You can chose from three different color modes.  Color, black & white or sepia tone.

WaterCar – Car is boat, boat is car!

Saturday, October 10th, 2009 | Geek, Painted Purple, Videos, Weird | No Comments

“Get a Corvette engine, rig it up with a Dominator jet pump impeller drive, and then strap it into a floating car, and you get the WaterCar Python, the fastest and highest-performing amphibious vehicle in the world. If zipping over the water at a top speed of 60mph doesn’t float your boat, it’ll accelerate on land at a neck-snapping 0-to-60 speed of a mere 4.5 seconds.” – Device

One thing wrong with it..

The color is all wrong..
